Sunday Funnies – Prank Time!

(For some reason this didn’t post yesterday, so here it is on Monday instead.)

I had a different blog post in the works, but it’s now on hold while I share a laugh with you.  Settle back and enjoy a minute or two of giggles and admiration for a well-planned, well-executed prank!

Glad it wasn’t me – I think my heart would have stopped!

(For more giggles, here are some of the previous Sunday Funnies.)

Are you a prankster?  Do you like being pranked?  Leave a note in the comments and have a great weekend.  I’ll be back in a few days.

In general, I dislike pranks quite a bit. The one above doesn’t seem so bad, but usually I find that people get pretty out of control with them. And what’s the point of them anyway? To make people feel bad? What does it say about those performing the prank? Not to be a Debby Downer, I would just rather interact with people in a more positive way. 🙂

Hey, Melissa – good to hear from you! I guess I like watching pranks that make people question what they saw, and I think after I got over my heart attack, I would have enjoyed this. I’m definitely not one who likes pranks just to scare people (the guy in the gorilla suit bursting into his child’s room, for example) or the ones that get you drenched in water or pie or whatever. But something like this that takes set up and timing and that you laugh over after . . . oh yeah!

I loved this! Great fun for all involved, especially after they were told. Same thing with the old Candid Camera and others. Jennifer, I remember some of the pranks you told me about at OSU many moons ago. I’ve done the old Ivory Soap covered in bitter chocolate, but nothing this inventive. Very clever!

Hmm, I’ll have to tell the story of the soap/chocolate in my French class sometime. Remember Mr. Sefnia?

  3. Agree with Melissa. Sometimes pranks are just not fun.
However, this one was hilarious! Glad it was in daylight in a busy place. Talk about Great Timing!

It’s the timing that impressed me, along with the set-up to have her head in a sidewalk tile. I wonder if there was space underneath already, or if they had to excavate? How would you ever get permission for that??
